About

Employment

I am currently senior developer at motionstrand, an amazing web/multimedia development house based in Southern California.

I also take on freelance projects including; web development, brand identity and print design. Please contact me with information about your project and I would be happy to give you a quote.

Experience

I have been designing professionally for over 8 years but fell in love with Photoshop much earlier.  I got my start in the textile industry at Kiwi Tees in 2001. We would focus on t-shirts and embroidery for local San Diego small business and school sports. I would also create freelance websites in my spare time. It was here that I learned the ins and outs of textile screen printing, including; embroidery digitizing, spot color printing, 4 color process, simulated process and square dot separations.

I moved over to Print World, a full featured print shop, that also did screen printing and embroidery.  I expanded my knowledge to include offset and digital printing as well as bindery. My previous experience in t-shirt printing and design helped expand that portion of the business to be the companies top seller.  As with my previous position, customer service and account management are key aspects of my abilities.

I started freelancing website design and development in 2003, and started subcontracting with motionstrand in 2007. Freelancing for motionstrand and other companies helped stretch my web development repertoire while still working full time as a traditional media designer. I started full time at mos in 2009. Working with my current team has transformed me into the developer I am today. We push boundries and deliver exceptional web products for our clients.
